Welcome to the Cumberland Habitat Conservation Planning Website. We are a coalition of state and local governments, organizations, business owners, landowners, and other private citizens who are working together to conserve the forests and waters of the Cumberlands of Tennessee. Two Habitat Conservation Plans (HCPs) are under development in the Cumberlands. The Northern Cumberlands Forest Resources HCP will result in greater conservation of rare wildlife and plants on state-owned Wildlife Management Areas.  Fostering sustainable development in Cumberland, Morgan and Scott counties is the focus of the Water Resources HCP.  Both HCPs offer protection to the most imperiled animals and plants within the HCP planning area.
