Samantha Wyatt, Research Technician

Samantha is a native of Crossville, TN and is a research technician for the HCP at Tennessee Tech University (TTU). Her love for the outdoors and animals began at an early age, and she grew up enjoying outdoor activities and taking in any pet that she could. Both prior to and during college as an undergraduate, she worked as a veterinary technician at an animal hospital in Crossville. She also worked as an intern for the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency one summer and was completely inspired to continue down the career path of species and habitat conservation. She received her Bachelor’s degree in wildlife and fisheries science and her Master’s degree in biology at TTU, focusing her studies on terrestrial systems. For her thesis project, she investigated habitat characteristics of the green salamander at Catoosa Wildlife Management Area in Cumberland County.
