HCP DOCUMENT - MEETING MATERIALS
Through the Cumberland Water Resources HCP (WRHCP) process, local governments on the Cumberland Plateau seek to balance economic growth with the long-term viability of rare wildlife and plants in the Cumberlands through implementation of affordable and sustainable measures. As of March 2010, WRHCP applicants include the Cities of Crossville and Wartburg and Cumberland, Morgan, and Scott Counties. Covered activities are underdevelopment, but likely will include residential and commercial development, utility corridors, stream crossings, and wastewater management. The Covered Activities page has detailed information about the activity selection process and background materials. The covered species list is under development. More detail will be available on the Covered Species page as it becomes available.
The WRHCP is being developed by a Core Team, Steering Committee, Science Advisory Committee, Species Experts, and the HCP Project Management Team as described here. |
