Welcome to the Cumberlands Habitat Conservation Planning Website. We are a coalition of state and local governments, organizations, landowners, and other private citizens who are working together to conserve the forests and waters of the Cumberlands of Tennessee. We are currently developing two Habitat Conservation Plans. A Forest Resources HCP will result in greater conservation of rare wildlife and plants on state-owned Wildlife Management Areas. A Water Resources HCP will foster sustainable urban development in Cumberland and Morgan counties. Both HCPs will offer protection to the most imperiled animals and plants of this area. Watch a video about the project on YouTube! |
